Track 05 / Receipts

Country Boy

I grew up on a dirt road about nine miles from town
Spent my whole life working, from sun up to sun down
Mama and Daddy worked real hard, to give me a shot
At what they called the American dream but this is what they got...

Im just a short fat cowboy hat wear'n chew'n tobacco sun of a gun.
And I'm still goin out with the same crowd running around staying out till one.
And I don't care what they say I'm proud of my red neck ways.
A back woods U.S.A. Country Boy

It's in my blood, (blood) it's in my bones (bones)
I'm a product of my raising and the place I call home (home)
These roots run deep down into my soul (soul)
So if your one of us then come on lets roll!

Im just a short fat cowboy hat wear'n chew'n tobacco sun of a gun.
And I'm still goin out with the same crowd running around staying out till one.
And I don't care what they say I'm proud of my red neck ways.
A back woods U.S.A. Country Boy

Im an American red dirt in my veins
Putting cotton in the ground praying for rain
Buck hunting in the fall as the sun goes down
And I'll stay this way until I'm in the ground!

Im just a short fat cowboy hat wear'n chew'n tobacco sun of a gun.
And I'm still goin out with the same crowd running around staying out till one.
And I don't care what they say I'm proud of my red neck ways.
A back woods U.S.A. Country Boy
